We understand that before you commit to purchasing airport parking spaces online you may have a few questions to ask. To save you calling us we have compiled some of the more frequently asked questions below. We hope these answer your questions.
What is On-airport car parking?
This is where car parking is available within the airport perimeter. These car parks are generally closer than off airport car parks and so the transfer time to the terminals is much shorter or perhaps just a short walk only.
What is an Off-airport car park?
These car parks are located outside the airport perimeter and are normally privately run. Although the transfer time to the airport can be a little longer the benefits are that the rates are cheaper. Security and service offered by off airport operators is very good many having achieved awards.
What is Meet & Greet Parking?
This is where you are able to drive straight to the airport terminal where you and your car will be met by a chauffeur. The chauffeur will then take your car to a secure car park. On your return a chauffeur will have your car waiting for you outside the terminal or within the short stay car park.
What does Gate price mean?
Gate price is the price when you just turn up to park without pre booking. Pre-booking can mean substantail savings of up to 60% OFF gate prices.
Why is a week calculated as 8 days and two weeks calculated as 15 days?
One day is calculated as a whole or part of day. A Saturday to Saturday trip is calculated as 8 whole days. Hence a two week trip would be 15 days inclusive although we are intoducing a time of your arrival and departure to give you an even more cost effective option.
How Secure are the Car Parks?
Most car parks have a combination of security patrols, high level fencing, barriers and CCTV. Many also have been awarded the Park Mark® for its security and safer parking features.
Can I park for longer than I have booked?
If you’re delayed in returning from holiday, or simply wish to stay a few days longer you will be charged for any additional days’ parking by the car park direct.
Can I cancel my booking?
This will depend on whether you have booked a non amendable and non cancellable booking. If not then yes your booking can generally be cancelled as long as you give the company at least 24 hours’ notice. If you didn’t take out cancellation protection during your booking, you will be charged for any changes or cancellations, these vary between each provider.
